Motor won’t run when VESC BMS is connected via CAN

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using the following Trampa components in my build:

• Trampa VESC 6 HP

• Trampa VESC BMS

• Trampa VESC Express

I’ve encountered a strange issue:

The motor runs fine in both FOC and BLDC modes as long as the VESC BMS is not connected via CAN to the VESC 6 HP.

When I connect only the VESC Express via CAN – everything works as expected.

However, when I connect only the VESC BMS, the motor becomes unresponsive.

And when both the VESC BMS and VESC Express are connected, the problem persists – motor does not run.

Is there something I’m missing regarding CAN setup or device IDs?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
