Issues with Brakes, M5 Display, and Speed on VESC 75100

Hi everyone,

I need some help with a few issues in my system. I’d appreciate any guidance:

    1.    Brakes connection to the controller:

I connected the positive and negative wires of the brakes (which are supposed to cut off the motor when pressed) to the ADC2 input – positive to the positive terminal and negative to GND.

Is this connection correct? If not, how should the brakes be connected to work properly? Additionally, I’d appreciate a detailed explanation of how to set up the brakes correctly on the VESC 75100.

    2.    M5 display:

I have an M5 display, and I’m not sure if my controller (VESC 75100) supports it.

If it does, how should I connect it to the controller properly? I’d love a step-by-step guide or a connection diagram if available.

    3.    Top speed:

Here’s my current setup:

    •    48V, 21Ah battery, 4C cells

    •    1000W motor

    •    VESC 75100 controller

Previously, I used an FB 500W controller with 32A, and the top speed was higher than what I’m achieving now.

What do you think could be the issue? I suspect the new controller might not be optimally configured. I’d appreciate recommendations for VESC 75100 settings that would suit my setup.

Thank you in advance for your help!
