Hello,
I am working with a VESC 6 MK VI and connected it with the battery, motor and servo. By following the https://f1tenth.readthedocs.io/en/foxy_test/ guide, the VESC works in the end. Yet I am not too experienced with the VESC and the VESC tool 6.02. I can run tests so that the motor rotates the wheels, but not the steering angle through the VESC tool 6.02, I tried to adjust the position parameter from zero to 15°, but once I pressed play, the motor started making weird noises.
I adjusted the motor type (in motor settings/general)= BLDC and adjusted the values for the PID controllers (in motor settings/PID controllers). As well I also adjusted the APP to use = PPM & Enable Servo Output = true (in APP settings/general). Control type = PID position control: 180 (in. App settings/PPM). With these settings, I was hoping to get the servo to run through the VESC tool. So far I have not been able to get the servo running through the VESC tool 6.02.
Firmware I used VESC_default.bin and a custom file, which I found on the F110 Git Hub.
I would appreciate any help if anyone knows how to control/test the servo through the VESC with the VESC tool, please let me know.
thank already in advance!
We are facing the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
