How to Enable kill switch support in Firmware 5.03

Hi,

May I know how to enable kill switch support feature in Firmware 5.03?  With this feature, could I install an emergency stop button?

Thanks.

Yes.  Look under App Settings, General, General, Kill Switch Mode.

Verbatim from Help:

Kill switch input. When this input is active the motor is disabled and optionally braking if timeout_brake_current is greater than 0. The kill switch overrides all other inputs and can be used as an emergency stop.

The following modes can be used:

Disabled

No kill switch is used.

PPM Low

The kill switch is active when the PPM input goes low.

PPM High

The kill switch is active when the PPM input goes high.

ADC2 Low

The kill switch is active when the ADC2 input goes low.

ADC2 High

The kill switch is active when the ADC2 input goes high.

This is not working for me. ADC2 High works, but ADC2 Low always disables the drive. Any ideas?

if I want to use the kill switch, like PPM high on the vesc4.2 would it be on the 3-way cable, 5v, GND and signal, in the case of no signal would I send 5v?
