Hello Everyone,
I am using VESC tool for quite a some time now and have always done motor set up without any error. And it has always been successful.
But today, when I am doing it it is failing.
I hit the motor set up button, and at first motor alignment along the respective axis to calculate the resistance happened. Then to estimate the flux linkage, motor spins. and then when motor rotates in the forward and backward direction it did not happen. Instead, the motor draws a very heavy current and becomes very hot.
Could anyone please tell me what is happening?
any help will be appreciated.
What is the Hardware?
I am suing VESC with a flipsky E Board motor.

BLDC Motor.
VESC 6 MKV?
VESC 6 MKIV
I have used the same motor and VESC board config before
Have you tried to re-flash the Firmware and checked all wires? Is anything else connected to the Unit? Have you tried to detect a different motor?
Yes frank, I tried re-flashing the firmware.
Also, I have checked the wire connections.
Nothing else is connected. Also the motor is at no load.
I did not try with any other motor. I can try that.
Thanks
Hi Frank, I tried with other motor as well, but it gives the same error.
I also limit the motor current. Still not working.
Hi Frank, I solved the problem. It was silly issue with Absolute current value set to just 10A.
And as motor was trying to fetch high current than this value the controller was going into "FAULT_CODE_ABS_OVER_CURRENT"
Thank You for your help.
Cool, easy relve then!
