I am very new to using vesc.

I have a Trampa 2wd spur gear with two VESC 6

I am trying to get the firmware updated but I get this message

I am also having this same issue. Whenever I try to update the firmware it never takes.

You need to upload the bootloader first. There is a bootloader tab in Vesc-tools firmware menu. After uploading the bootloader, you can then update the FW.
