I'm trying a VESC in a RC car, but need help.

Hi.
I got the RC car up and running, but unlike a normal RC ESC, when I let off the throttle the motor actively decelerates to match the throttle position.
Is there a way to stop that, so it behaves like a RC ESC?

I have no idea whats causing it, or how to stop it.

Set the control type to a setting that has does not control brake such as Current or Duty Cycle.

I currently have it on Duty cycle, and Current is behaving oddly.

When set to Current, only the first 20'ish percent of the throttle travel is used, the rest is just maxed out.
But when set to Duty cycle the whole throttle is used.

Throttle issue aside, the current setting does act like a normal RC ESC, so that would be the perfect setting.
But now I have to figure out how to use the whole throttle travel.
