Hub Motor Remote Control

Hello!
Recently I've been working on a project that involves remote controlling two hub motors. Specifically, two of these: https://www.uumotor.com/webstore/scooter-motor/24v-48v-9-10-13-15-350w-5.... I plan to control the motors with either a VESC 6 or a FOCBOX, and remote controlled through hobbyist rc gear. Specifically, I want to use an RC plane remote to control the two motors (tank drive). What is a good compatible remote?

I looked through old forum posts and found that a person was using an HK-GT2B to control their motor, but HK doesn't mention their GT2B being PPM, so I'm a bit confused...

Also, would https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobby-king-2-4ghz-4ch-tx-rx-v2-mode-2.html work?

Hi  bf01, those remotes are all PPM and you should be able to use them.

You need two receivers and keep the two ESCs completely separate to avoid ground loops.  As soon as you plug in one receiver into two ESCs you get ground loops in the system.

Using two receivers you can spin each motor forward and backward, using two separate channels on the remote.

Thanks a ton!

Do you know a good way of pairing two receivers to one transmitter, with typical R/C hobbyist gear? I looked online but couldn't find any good resources for it. Would it just be as simple as going through the pairing process with both of the receivers with the same transmitter?

Bill

Edit: I've found an article (At least for FlySky) that says that that will work. I guess I'll buy the gear first and see how it goes afterwards.

Should work with most PPM receivers.
