Hi, for counting poles you have to, or either shortcircuit two of the three wires from the motor, and spin rotor un turn counting how many cogs you can feel, or apply 2 - 3 volts with some current (let´s say 3 amps) on 2 of the 3 power wires from the motor, and again spin rotor 1 turn, and count how many cogs per turn you can notice
I was under the impression that it's half the number of magnets, because each magnet is either north or south, so you need a count of the north & south pairs.
As you've counted 30 magnets, that would be 15 pole pairs.

motor poles usually are not the same as amount of magnets or coils, depending on motor config. of magnets and coil windings
