external IMU vesc wiring

Hi there,

i would like if i can get some input from you guys, i'm trying to connect a mpu 9250 as external gyro to the vesc using vesc tool 1.17, how it is quite new release there is not much info about it.

i have connected the mpu as follows:

vcc= to vcc on the vesc

gnd= gnd

sda= sda

scl= scl

 Settings in vesc, use external mpu 9x50 but not success. not data shows in vesc tool.

Any help will be very appreciate, thanks you all.

P.S maybe sda and scl are crossed like tx rx ?

Solved with the help from https://www.customwheel.shop

I had a look, and the latest update has a bug in the MPU9x50 driver. It is fixed now, and I will push a new version tomorrow. Otherwise your connection should be correct - just make sure that no other app that uses the same pins, such as UART is active. Also make sure that you have a pull up on SDA and SCL.

Hi! How to wire simultaneously bluetooth module and 9dof sensor? My bluetooth now connected to TX RX, but it is the same pins for SCL SDA which are necessary for 9dof sensor. Thanks.

Hello

I try to connect a IMU MPU9250 to a FSESC 6.6 for flipsky but impossible to have connection with the gyro

Do you think I have to add some Pull up resistance the IMU ?

Thanks

Yes you need pull ups on the SCL and SDA lines for it to work. Vesc 6 uses 1k pull ups for internal MPU9250
