Simply, in current mode, throttle sets %amperage of the motor, like %5 throttle=%5 amperage, %95 throttle=%95 amperage, when climbing an uphill , if the current is lower than required current for moving on, it can stand still, and lowering throttle could make it to move backwards. And, if required current is less than the motor current, motor reaches max. rpm.
