Hi,
We are several users using trampa vesc for our efoil boards.
We are really missing a kill switch feature. I understand it is not feasible in a Esk usecase, but in a efoil usecase it is very important for safety reason.
Would it be possible to add code so it is possible to connect The switch to one adc input and if it get 3 or 5v input it kill The throttle so it stops?
Thanks in advance
Jonas
What are you using for throttle? You may be able to short the PPM signal which should cause it to time out if you're using that.
I've got one on my hands-free eskate that shorts the UART signal between the "brain" and the VESC and causes a timeout when it trips.
Hi
I am using a Maytech 2005 remote controller and receiver.
How do you mean with shortages The uart signal?
The alternative i been thinking of is to have a open kill switch on The power on The receiver, but it would be a much cleaner solution with a closing kill switch on adc input
I am also interested in that feature.
In my new efoil build, i am using the 75/300 together with an Flipsky VX3 that are not using a PPM signal. In my old build i used a cheap ppm remote and when i was falling, i break the power from the receiver and the motor stopped.
I think, with the UART Remote, that will not work?
The new upcoming VESC-Tool will have a kill switch feature on the ADC input line. Give it some more days and Vedder will update the BETA.
