Is my custom motor inductance too low?

I am new to VESC and bought a Flipsky 4.2 to drive my custom motor.  The motor measured phase to phase inductance is 16 uH and resistance is 170 mohm.  I read in some forums that this inductance (only 8 uH phase to neutral) might be too low and cause very high ripple currents.  Is this a problem? Some forums recommend to add a series inductor on each phase in the order of 100 uH or increasing the PWM frequency to the order of 100 KHz.  Have anyone used the Flipsky 4.2 (or 4.12) with a similar very low inductance motors?  If so, any issues?  Thanks!!

Benjamin has a video where he runs a motor with phase inductance of 0.65 uH and it works but the controller is with three in-phase current sensors, that is version 6, not 4.2. (two sensors). So, your 8uH is not that low and technically it should work but no way to tell for sure until you test. I have all kinds different results testing various motors. FOC specifically needs to be really tuned for each specific motor and it seems like that detection does part of the job but manual fine tuning is often needed as well.

Thanks vadicus for the tip.  I think I've watched it but I will watch it again.
