I am using a vesc in my go kart and when I reach my top speed, the motor cuts out and only restarts when I release and then press on the gas. I would like the vesc to only cut out long enough for the speed to drop a little and maintain the top speed somewhat like a car's rev limiter. Is this possible?

YOu can limit the max positive ERPM value a bit or you set duty cycle current limits to ramp down power before hitting top speed.
Both can be set in the motor config.
