Emergency Brake.

Hi, I built my e-skate and i have mapped my vesc with your vesc tool.

i use foc mode and i'm very satisfied, but i found a problem : during downhill, if the bms interrupts recharging because the battery is fully charged, the result is that i lose brakes totally.

It would be really appreciated an help by your side.

(is it possible to disable regeneration when the battery it's fully charged? is it possible to control that by setting brake regeneration at specific voltage of the battery?)

**Actually I have sets max brake -60A , regen -15A. number of motor 2. (but during downhill in some case i see -50A battery regeneration in total, and when my brake stop to works, all parameter going to 0 fix)

Tkx.

ok... no one give me a suggestion.... No problem. It's probably not such as easy solution.
What I'm wondering is if anyone has ever run out of brakes during a strong descent (downhill) like I did...

In any chase I think I have solved it. If anyone cares, I could sell the emergency brake system since 2021.

Hi everyone ;))

It is already answered on the forums. It is a simple electronics, activating the braking resistor when the over voltage occurs, a voltage comparator, a switching MOSFET and a braking resistor a few kw.
