For 2019 Benjamin has packed a nice present for the community.
On Saturday we will see a release of the Mobile VESC-Tool in the play store.
The new VESC-Tool is super convenient to use and is prepared to work seamless with upcoming hardware releases. Everything is fully automated and in consequence the complete setup is now nailed with 3 to 5 clicks only. Setting up a dual or quad drive takes just as long as setting up a single VESC.
There is also a new VESC availabe. The all new VESC SIX Plus just arrived.

Is it possible to use GPS signal for speed reading on this new VESC app?

Not yet. We use the wheel diameter and gearing info. GPS speed is easy to obtain from various tracking apps.
Yes, but it would be nice to have speed reading on one screen on my mid drive e-bike. No problem my cateye strada will do for now.

Hi All,
Could do with some help please.
I uploaded the new VESC tool, connected to VESC 6 (Trampa mountain board) and the software advised firmware needed updating.
Tried this several time but the VESC 6 seemed to still retain firmware version 3.4, eventually after several attempts when trying to connect got a message indicating the firmware could not be read.
However the old VESC tool still connected and I could still adjust settings, that was until last weekend where the old VESC tool is now showing the same message.
An esk8 forum suggested each VESC 6 need the firmware updating individually , which I have tried and initially the slave VESC 6 asked to update the firmware, but after first attempt I got the firmware could not be read message again.
I appear to be able to connect to the master VESC 6 via USB cable and laptop, which shows the the firmware to be 3.4 still. Tried re installing 3.4 firmware from the laptop, but both mobile versions still exhibit the same not able to read firmware message.
Ahy help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

short question: Should the app work with the bulid in NRF modul from the VESC6 (beta)?
I updated the firmware of the VESC6 over my PC, donwloaded the app for android.... when I do the scan in the app it does not find the VESC6 (BT is on at my phone) .
