Hi, has anyone tried this its under motor settings, general "invert motor direction" it doesn't work for me so had to swap phase wires over and do a motor detection again and all ok. the help section says this option is so you don't have to swap the phase wires over. Benjamin this is not a moan, just trying to give feed back on an amazing piece of Hardware/Software. I'm using Vesc Tool on Windows 10 dual booting on a Mac.
The strange thing I found is that the FOC detection spins the motor in the opposite direction to the normal operation. My "invert motor direction" is set to false.
For me the invert direction function is working. Did you write the motor configuration to the VESC after changing it?
On my dual setup connecting the phase wires correctly means one motor will spin in the opposite direction and so I thought that is what this setting is for true or false makes no difference but in the help file it says that is what this setting is for direction control without having to swap the phase wires over.
Perhaps Benjamin or Frank could let us know
Yes I saved configuration.
Yes I have tried several times. Doesn't work for me. Maybe some others could test this function to see if it's a problem at my end.
Hi, input is 12s , running vesc tool on windows 10. Everything works except invert direction
Ppm Rc
IIRC, I am using "invert motor direction", and it works.
Edit: Tested again today. invert motor direction works for me. I did notice one instance of it not working. In hindsight it was logical. I hit "download new parameters" when the VESC_TOOL wasn't connected to the VESC...
