So, I have 3 sensorless motors with separate FSESC's that I'm wanting to connect with some sort of belt. Could be a cogged belt or V belt. Is there a mode that would allow me to do this? I have them individually set up with FOC, but I know that would not work. When I set them to BLDC, sometimes they run backwards and that can't happen. Just wondering if there's an option that would allow that to work. Thanks!
Should work in FOC. Is that a VESC6 MKV HW?
You would want to run that in current control mode or the motors will fight each other. You can have one running duty cycle for good startup (acting as the master) and the other 2 in current control to provide extra power.
They're Flipsky 75100's on 5.3.
So, right now they're all FOC in current control with an erpm limit. I can't get duty cycle to work properly with these motors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYSfwVr5EOM
These have no phase filters, so perfect sensorless startup is nothing you can expect. You can still try regular HFI to get the motor going in a smooth way.
The issue in the video is it spinning the motor with the input turned off off in duty cycle control, but working correctly in current control.
