I have ordered this VESC controller https://diyelectricskateboard.com/collections/featured-items/products/to... my Velinon 3500 motor could not be controlled at lower speed. I loaded this configuration on it: https://github.com/mit-racecar/hardware/blob/master/vesc/6.141_bldc_old_...
For some reason I have a lot of troubles controlling the speed. Is there maybe something wrong with this combination? I was able to control the motor with the arrow keys in the open VESC Tool. This seamed reasonable slow. I then tried controlling it over PWM with a RC Transmitter as well with a PWM generator. I was not able to get the speed as low as with the arrow keys. Actually I could only drive one certain speed which seemed to be around 6-8 km/h. I assume I have used the wizard correctly to add PWM control. The full throttle stick was mapped to the PWM input. I tried all different types of control. From Current with/without backward to PID control.
Currently I am trying to control it over the USB cable directly with a Linux machine. This is a challenge for it self, so I can't tell yet if this works. I have now spent two weeks with this controller without any result. Not sure if it is a faulty controller or what I am doing wrong. Please help me, I go nuts.
