maybe as written in the mentioned webpage the schematics are not updated, I've seen many things not coherent with the application notes suggested inside the datasheets of the IC's. For example the separation between power GND and analog GND there isn't, many ceramic capacitor 0.1 uF put as filters in the power supply are absent (pin 54-53 and 29 DRV8301). I would suggest also the TVS diode in parallel to each power mosfet in order to prevent overvoltages caused by a no proper settings of the VESC tool for error or similar, the reliability could increase (switching the inductance of the cables and windings of the motor at such frequencies is dangerous).
