Hi everyone !

I hope I will share the maximum from my experience with this new VESC6 beast and my VESC tool fov and help you Benjamin and Frank for the mostfeed back as possible inthe futur.

Dual Overion 6374 130kv 3.55kW sensored
Dual VESC Six BLDC via Can (hybride mode)
Dual 5s 8Ah 35C (10s)
GT2B custom by okp (my fav since 2015)
Board custom carbon reinforce (base Scrub) & full trampa for the parts (Superstar, starp, vertigo)

1th, the VESC6 in hand looks really an other thing like all the beta 4.x we got ! Its solid, well finish, we are more confident.

VESC Tool, is simply beter than ever ! I was scared do miss a thing or to not understand a part, but the wizard is genius !! So simply assisted love that.
I have communicate my motor info in VESC Tool, and my 1th parameters for the 5km test all road ride I just done are :
Current Max = 50A Brake = -16A (and need more)
Batt Max = 50A Batt regen = -16A
Boost 0.03
43v max - cutt off start at 35v
The test ride is really perfect ! Good feeling (1th time with sensor on one of my setup so, hard to not be happy now !!), vesc or motor not hot at all during or after the ride.

Hope I can tell you more soon, I will increase the start up boost to 0.04 and the Brake and regen higher (-24A...). But all rolls good !

The only problem actualy is my DIY hahahhaaa, it is just the prototype (Im cutting other VESC6 older directly from the reinforcement/deco bars !) and it moooooove so much in the back ...
I quickly try off road, but I quickly returned on the dirt road too cause a VESC6 was touching the motor in rotation during the ride (...CRYING...)
its nothing but it's a little pinch ^^
I going to scotch all during the test of the proto, then the DarthVapor will be even less beautiful (a short time I hope).

I was wondering about the real VESC6 possibility and now just at the 1th ride, I haven't so many thing to say !

I go back empty my battery ;-)

Thx for sharing! 50A is quite nice, riding 130KV motors. Big torque, cool VESCs 12S would be even better. Frank

110 x Sony VTC6 3120mAh/30Acells ordered today !
So yes I have to think about a 10s8p (and a 10s2p for my esk8), 11/12s7p ... 10s5p and an other in the backpack for long range ...
Im looking more for a cool long ride, the weight does not matter here.

The torque is insane and the difficulty of the climbs doesn't worry the setup !

After it I ride 9km more this afternoon, with boost past to 0.04.

I haven't notice yet but I see my PPM Throttle Curve is in Polynomial mode ... and doesn't really see how it impact my ride even with the good equation in the help service. Someone can highlight me on this ?
I would like to try Natural tomorow !.. On my vesc4.10 I haven't make attention neither... but I don't feel so much differences, just I haven't the same imediate reaction (I will play with the expo too) it work dangerously well but take a little bit more time to start the command.

(Sorry hope my english is understandable).

Hi there,

So yesterday : 14km with my 2 x 5s 8Ah 35c = 5440mAh recharged today.
288Wh by let say around 16km (estimated), its 18Wh / km. With cool ride test.

The evening I have ride again, with a 10s5Ah20c (100amp max), so I put the vesc to 45A max (motor and batterie) and pass the boost to 0.05.
I try the Natural mode of the ppm ... dont notice big change than Polimonial ...
It was a really enjoying ride. Full throttle most time (my vmax is confirmed, the calculator is extremly right 29kmh calculed, 29kmh on gps !). During the run, after some big hills motor or vesc are just normal, can easily keep my hand on them. I finish back with the cutt off start in the descent of my street, haha just on time !!
So here too : 180Wh / 10km = 18Wh ! it's really good for a pushed off road test with little battery. It is the perfect slow ride/crossing setup (with crazy 4.67:1 ratio).

I will try 12s5Ah soon to reach 35kmh :)
And I'm choosing the right ratio for more speed (I think I have just the motor sprocket to change for a 11T = 3.82:1 ratio)

Very nice build! You should try and run it in FOC. There is no need to worry about blowing the DRV chip anymore. I have found that the startup is much smoother, plus it is almost silent at low speeds.

Yes I would but too many beta tester seams to be in FOC ... and we need bldc test in case of I guess ^^
In fact, with my chain setup ... if you watch the video, I'm not really quiet, so maybe don't need foc, plus I want punchy start up.
But yes, I have and I will try it to see !

I will try at 60Amps max motor and battery now ^^ I have the 12s pack ready but it's running outside and I have had a trouble with my master yesterday.
It's nothing but cause of my proto dont finish and not closed (I guess its that) I couldn't connect my vesc ... Try 3 times to move the dust, I return the deck, check it, do a "pshhhhhhhhh" of air and it finaly fine.

So no more ride untill I put them in a case !... maybe just a last one just on road :D
Plus tomorow I'm supposed to get a new transmission 11 x36 T to could play with my 9 x 42 actual and try progressivly 11x42 - 9x36 - 11x36... and fine the best for me (or simply get one for cross session and on for road rage !).

Just put tape on connectors you don't use (such as USB, PWR_COM...) and seal the input and output wires holes with foam for example.
Should be enough to keep them away from dust ;)
