I've installed my Bluetooth adapter no issue and connected my vesc to it through discoverable devices, but when I try to connect my vesc to the vesc tool it just tells me "Could not read firmware version. Make sure that selected port really belongs to VESC." or "Could not autoconnect"
Which operating system? Did you choose PPM and UART in App config?
Try changing baud rate on vesc to 9600 worked for me
