Implementing some simple motor sound "BEEP" to VESC 6 Firmware

Hi,

I wonder if I´m the only one how would like to let the motor "speak" in some situations.
I thought there might be already some code written, but as I´m not that good with software it´s not that easy to find out.

I checked this forum and other VESC relevant pages in the www but even if I do know the physics behind I could not find code that is "linked" to the VESC software.
It might be a bit to much for this forum but maybe someone can give me a first hint how to implement some addition lines of code that allow to use the VESC Firmware but enable some "BEEP".

Thank you very much. smiley

This is very interesting.

Could you point some links out to understand the physics behind this ?

Thanks.

Isn't it just like a speaker? Pulse magnetic field in the audible frequency range and the motor will vibrate (rotor, stator, winding wire...whatever moves), pushing air around, creating (weak) sound waves.
