I go to a technical school in vienna and I’m in my last year now, which means I have to do my diploma thesis project. Mine is converting a motocross bike to electric. It’s a Yamaha ZY450F with a dead engine. The battery is a 26S11P and the motor 3Shul gbx65 and I would really like to run Vesc for the controller, since I’ve been using it for the last few years.
About 2 weeks ago I emailed VescLabs and asked about a sponsorship or a student deal. Their FAQ say they support school projects and that you should just write to the support address, so that’s the one I used. A few days ago I also sent them a message on Instagram. I still haven’t gotten a reply.
I’m not trying to complain, I just want to know if I should keep waiting or plan around it.
I don't want to annoy the VescLabs Team, but if my request is accepted or rejected would make a huge difference for the project. If it is rejected then I have to look at other options, but I can't if don't get a definite rejection.
Is longer than two weeks a normal response time or should I write another email from a different address in case my email has been automatically sent to the spam folder? Does anyone know if there is a different way of contacting them?
