Hello,
I'm trying to figure out where this is or if it exists. I don't really think it does, and if it doesn't, I am unsure where this can be added efficiently and without breaking everything.
I'm trying to integrate anti-lock braking system with regen. I don't see anywhere in the GUI where this could be. If I'm wrong, please, just ignore everything that follows and point me in the right direction and just call me a newbie.
Doing a search for abs does not help, obviously. I just don't know where to begin. I can compile the source under Linux, I think I got everything working okay as in I haven't bricked anything but in case I do have an st link and know how to use it.
I think that the motor detection section is the best candidate to use as a base. Duty cycling regen based on motor speed and rotation points is what I'm guessing has to be done, and somehow detecting motor rotation but in the inverse of the detection , I really think so? Am I on the right path?
I have abused many a vehicles anti-lock braking system just to see what it would do. Even on a motorcycle, which I believe had no right to exist back then. But now,
On a front wheel driven scooter, I think it's paramount to have that option integrated!
I never thought this would be an issue until I was on an electric city bus and it went right through an intersection because it had no anti lockup for its own brake regen. That happened a few days ago while I was on it, and I thought to myself wow, what an oversight! I've been on city buses before with air brakes and I know the feel of anti-lock braking systems. I'm avoiding using the acronym abs
Then I started looking at the code and said wow, no wonder. I'm looking for some help before I make a feature request. I'd rather get code together for a commit for testing, because I think this is really important. I strongly believe I can contribute because my life is riding on my tires and I want them to behave in the safest manner possible.
Thanks everyone ,
