VESC DUET + VESC ABI encoder in HALL Emulation Mode (unabled to setup)

Hi I recently got a Vesc duet plus the Vesc ABI encoder to use in hall emulation mode,

the documentation states that a script is in the configurator to setup the encoder into hall emulation mode- after digging around im unable to find the correct script in the lispbm section of the devtools, and after reaching out to vesc directly for the script and not getting a response, I thought I'd best ask on here to see if anyone else is running this setup and has or created a script to set it up.

the MT6701 is the correct script, but duet is unable to use the hall pins, as suggested in the script to program via i2c, programmed via the aux rx\tx pins worked flawlessly
