Hi everyone,
I'm running into an issue with the Balance App configuration and hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
Setup:
- VESC Firmware: v5.01
- VESC Tool: latest version (7.x)
- Hardware is limited to a maximum of FW 5.03
Problem: When selecting "Balance" under App Settings → General as the active app, no additional "Balance" configuration menu appears in the left sidebar — which I'd expect to show PID parameters, fault settings, ADC configuration, etc.
I also attempted to install the Balance App via VESC Packages, but received an "Erase timed out" error during installation, which suggests the Package system requires a higher firmware version than what I'm running.
My assumption: I believe the issue is a mismatch between VESC Tool 6.x and FW 5.x. From what I understand, VESC Tool 6.x expects Balance to be installed as a Package and no longer displays the built-in Balance App settings that were available in older firmware. VESC Tool 3.x would likely show the Balance configuration correctly with FW 5.01.
Questions:
- Is there a pre-compiled VESC Tool 3.01
.exeavailable for download somewhere? Compiling from source via Qt is possible but i'd like to avoid it if there's an easier option. - Is there any known workaround to access or configure the built-in Balance App parameters while running FW 5.01 on VESC Tool 6.x — for example via terminal commands?
Any help is appreciated!

Problem solved: I found pre-compiled VESC Tools for all versions.
