Issues using vesc for Gimbal Motor iPower GM5208-24

Hello,

I am trying to get the Gimbal Motor iPower GM5208-24 running using Flipsky Mini FSESC6.7 PRO.

Motor: https://iflight-rc.eu/de-de/products/ipower-gm5208-24-gimbal-motor

Flipsky: https://flipsky.net/products/mini-fsesc6-7-pro-70a

Vesc Tool: 6.06

I am using a regular 24V power supply (90W) instead of batteries, but i assume this shouldnt be a problem?

My goal is to use the gimbal motor for a turntable. Therefore I would like to adjust the Speed with a external Potentiometer using Flipsky ADCs.

I tried using the VESC Wizard Tool (Setup Motor FOC and Setup Input for ADC) to paramterize my setup, but i was not successful.

My Setup Motor FOC Settings: Generic Motor -> Small outrunner 200g -> Current Regen -1A, Max 4A -> Direct Drive, Motor Diameter 60mm, Poles 22

When I run "Motor detection", I can hear some noises and then the Motor turns slowly forward and backwards. But if I then test it, it is not spinning smoothly and makes loud noises

What can i do to improve my setup? Appreciate every hint!

Unfortunately, i cannot upload here my settings files, but i hope the information listed helps.

Many thanks,

Marc
