VESC 6 MKVI not detected by VESC Tool / firmware version cannot be read

Hello,

I am having a problem with my VESC 6 MKVI and I would like to ask for help.

My VESC 6 MKVI is not being detected properly by VESC Tool, and the firmware version cannot be read.
When I try to connect, it either fails to connect or does not load the device information correctly.

Here is what I have already tried:

• changed the USB cable

• tried different USB ports on the PC

• powered the board from an external battery

• tried connecting with ST-LINK

• compared it with other boards, and only some VESC 6 MKVI seems to have the problem

At this point, I am not sure whether this is a hardware failure, firmware issue, or communication problem.

Current symptoms:

• VESC Tool cannot read firmware version

• the board is not recognized properly

• ST-LINK also does not seem to detect it normally

I would appreciate any advice on:

1. whether this looks like hardware damage

2. what I should check next

3. whether I should try reflashing firmware

4. whether this could be caused by USB/UART/interface damage

If needed, I can also upload photos of the board, wiring, and screenshots of the error.
