Hall sensor port repeatedly fried on original hardware

My setup is running dual Trampa Vesc 6 (first version without phase filters), which are driving two Flipsky 6374 140kV motors.

I've been having issues with the hall sensor pins on the Vesc STM32 frying multiple times, with a ~100ohm short to ground. I've confirmed it's the not the board itself since the short disappears after replacing the MCU.

This has happened around 4 times, leading to me replacing the MCU every time. I've noticed the board doesn't have any TVS diodes, so I'm thinking it's due to induced voltage spikes on the sensor wires from the phase wires that run right next to them. I'll try adding some TVS externally and see if the issue persists. I've confirmed that the wires are not exposed and shorting to anything, the insulation is intact. Has anyone faced similar issues?
