Hello,
BMS Limits configured in Motor Settings / General / BMS tab do not work as expected :
- When Vcell min is checked in BMS Limit Mode, it is expected to start to reduce motor power when a cell goes below Vcell Min Limit Start, and completely stop motor when it reaches Vcell Min Limit End.
However, most of the time motor is completely stopped, as if cell voltage was below Vcell Min Limit End. In my 12S setup, all cells are about 4,0V, and only Vcell min is checked in BMS Limit Mode.- Vcell Min Limit Start = 2,9V, Vcell Min Limit End = 2,5V : (default values) : motor stopped (should turn)
- Vcell Min Limit Start = 1,5V, Vcell Min Limit End = 1,2V : motor stopped (should turn)
- Vcell Min Limit Start = 0,7V, Vcell Min Limit End = 0,4V : motor is turning (ok)
- A similar issue exists with Vcell Max (cells are still about 4V and only Vcell max is checked) :
- Vcell Max Limit Start = 3,0V, Vcell Max Limit End = 3,1V : regen is allowed (should not)
- Vcell Max Limit Start = 1,0V, Vcell Max Limit End = 1,1V : regen is allowed (should not)
- Vcell Max Limit Start = 0,4V, Vcell Max Limit End = 0,7V : regen is denied (ok)
Furthermore, I received a lot of Parameters truncated errors popups with random values. I had some times the truncation error even with the BMS Limit Mode checkboxes !
I use VESC Tool 6.05 with :
- a Trampa VESC 6/75V running latest firmware (6.06)
- a Trampa 18S lite BMS
