Dual g-foc300 setup help!!!

Hello guys,

just bought my first ever Vesc based esc's from maker-x,

I have installed them after a whole day worth of time wasting!!!

my question is,

when I try to change the motor amp draw setting for one motor and then hit write

the other esc automatically writes the same settings for the other motor,

the second esc is paired via can-bus,

i am accessing my both esc's via bt module.

any idea guys how to write settings on each esc individually??

thanks.

For beginners its not recommended using a mobile phone app to set up a VESC. Use USB to PC. Select each Device in the lower left CAN-Devices Box to change paremeters. Always make sure after switching the devices to "read App" and "read Motor" by clicking the relating button.

Hello thanks for replying sir,

Yeah I will defiantly try the usb c connection,

I have dual esc setup,

right  now I m facing something called abs cutoff false code that shows i

on the bottom of the vesc tool app, when I gun it,

and the motors cut out!!!

When I lower the motor current to like 100 the cutout goes away,

but I m using a20s6p molicell p42a pack,

which can easily output 240 battery amps!!!

Any idea how I can disengage this abs cutout function in Vesc tool app???

thanks...

Sounds like you need to increase the ABS current limit. They probably want to be about 1.5 times the motor current value, I just use the highest value the firmware allows in every case of my own so far for abs limit. There's an option for slowing the cutout, I tick it - but don't know exactly how much difference it makes.

I would also drop the fault recovery times from 500ms down to about 80ms so I'm less likely to get thrown off the board before power returns.

If you've only spent one day using vesctool, you're doing alright. Nobody's likely to become familiar enough with it that quickly.
