HFI with PPM in Duty Cycle

Hi all

Is it possible to run HFI (sensorless) with PPM in Duty Cycle without the motor constantly screaming in the stopped position?

I normally use sensor motors that work perfectly with FOC and Duty cycle but have quite a few sensorless motors that I would like to use, unfortunately I cannot us the current control as it just does not suit the application.   I have tuned the motor in HFI (thank you Jeffrey for the excellent video) and the motor does work very nicely and smooth, it is just the squealing in the stopped position that is very loud and I know that I am just heating up the motors and using power.  I have tried to adjust the dead band and other PWM settings but I can't seem to get any change?

If I change to current control there is no noise in the stopped position, can this be achieved with duty cycle?

I have also tried the get the system to work BLDC but can't stop the low speed/start cogging.

Thank you
