Issues with running bldc motor (Motor screeching)

Hello,

I am new to the topic of electric motors and controllers. For my project, I need to synchronize two propellers mounted on a rig both in terms of RPM and position. I received a recommendation to use VESC ESCs for this purpose. However, I have been struggling to even get the motors started, and at one point, one of the motors started producing a loud screeching noise.

I am using the following components:
- Motors: 880KV T-Motors (AS2820 long shaft) (https://www.3dxr.co.uk/fixed-wing-c27/fixed-wing-motors-c39/t-motor-as-2...)
- Power Supplies: Separate power supplies for each motor, set at 12V and 20A
- VESC 6 electronic speed controllers

- I am only using the usb with laptop to run the motors.

I am also quite confused about the settings I need to configure on the VESCs to achieve synchronized operation and avoid issues like the screeching noise.

Any guidance or suggestions on how to properly set up and configure these components would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!.

Some screeching noise during setup is normal. If you don't see smoke, don't worry about it. Use the help button In each setting to familiarize yourself how it works.
