Yet another failed connection....

Hi everyone. I am an absolute newbie when it comes to e-skate and VESC.

Bought a non-working "Big Daddy" / off-road style old skate that was missing the remote, so bought the whole FLIPSKY setup with remote and Mini FSESC 4.20.

It seems as there is no change whatsoever when I plug the usb cable from the ESC to my PC. No windows default sound of USB connections and VESC tool only displays COM1 port (which shows as a COM / LPT port on my Hardware Manager). Current setup is:

- new WIN10 setup (only a few weeks old)

- installed the VESC TOOL Drivers from this link (https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stsw-stm32102.html) but it didnt seem to change anything.

- USB cable SHOULD be a data cable (is short and thick) but no way to be sure. Tried another one I had laying around and no change.

- VESC TOOL app file is in my desktop and I run it as an administrator, just in case...

ESC powers up and keeps and after a few seconds, it shows a green fixed light on the board. Nevertheless, same error message shows up when autoconnecting: "Could not connect, check if VESC is powered up or the cable is connected...." I can try another PC I have laying around just in case...

Not sure where to go from here, any input isgreatly appreciated...
