Configuration of underwater thruster

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble getting my underwater thruster to operate smoothly with the Flipsky Single 6.7 PRO ESC 60A Mini and the VESC Tool software.
The thruster has no bearing, a thin waterfilm is created as soon as the rotor starts to spin and this serves as bearing. It should be in sensorless mode as I don't have any hall sensors. 

I've run the FOC setup wizard, and the motor makes really nice fast and slow rotations, but when I write the motor config and when I try to control it myself, it struggles to start at low RPMs, and the rotations are not smooth at all.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar issue ? Is this issue coming from the type of motor itself or did I do something wrong with VESC tool ? 

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
