I got at least one (maybe more) situation in FOC mode where my throttle serial input would be to accelerate from zero to something and the motor for any reason would get stuck or miss the step. in those situation the esc seems to push the motor to start. even if I release the throttle the esc still pushes current like trying to startup the motor. then the motor would burn if I do not cut power fast enough.
on the motor that unfortunately burned it took me like 5s to realize and cut power. I could not hold the motor afterwards. was so hot. and obviously melted down.
it happened on a china esc 200/75 type.
does anyone has an idea of why and how?
