Potentiometer control

I am new to using VESC. I wanted to attach a potentiometer to my VESC to control the speed of my motor. I know that I have to connect it to the GND, ADC and 3.3V pins but I am lost as to how should I program it on the VESC project program? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated, or even links to another forum that may lead me in the right direction. I am just lost as to what I can use to get this working. I am using a 25V power source with a 270V motor and a 500K potentiometer. Thanks for all the help.

Just run through the input wizard. It should be self explanatory.

Sorry, I am really new to this. When you say run through the input wizard are you talking about the PPM input?

1. Get the VESC tool:
https://vesc-project.com/vesc_tool

2. run it

3. Connect your potentiometer as you said to gnd, 3v3, and ADC input

4. power up your motor controller via the 25v

5. connect it to a computer over USB & click on the "Connect" button in the top right

6. go to the "App settings" on the left side & then go through the "Input Setup Wizard" in the lower area, and set it up for ADC - test your pot while configuring it for the min/max voltages

Let us know which of the above steps you get stuck on if you need further help
