Dual motor for a small boat

Hello forum members!

This is my first post and I am looking for some advices here.

I'm planning to build a dual underwater motor setup for my small (4,3 meters) fishing boat this winter.

Under the stern of the boat I will mount two motors. I'm planning to use this type:

One motor on the left side and one on the right side.

The ESC I'm planning to use is this one (one for each motor):

I will control everything by using a joystick and an Arduino.

To my questions:

Will it work? :-)
Is the ESC mentioned above based on VESC6 or 4 design?
Does the ESC mentioned above have all features like PID control and so on?
Is an anti spark switch necessary?
