I have a 10s3P battery and when full the VESC tool real time data shows 109 miles of range. i believe i set all the parameters correctly in the app config. On a full charge i can get between 20 - 28 miles on a full charge. Any ideas to get an accurate MPH/KM range?
thanks
Obviously you did not enter the parameters correctly. Gearing, wheel diameter, battery voltage and capacity need to be correct.
I confirmed all settings are correct. Also each CANBUS ( 2 VESC's on the FOCBOX) shows a different value. one shows 150 mile range and the other 80 miles. Not sure thats normal.
Did you ride a bit, so that the system knows the consumption? Without riding a few 100m, you don't have a consumption to base the range estimation on.
Ahh i did notice that when i started riding the values did start to come down to a more reasonable range. So is that normal for it to do that every time the board power cycles? Or will it calibrate after the initial ride?
Thanks for your help
It will calibrate after a few 100 meters and will constantly update during your ride.
