Vesc is not turning on

I am trying to do the motor control using vesc 75/300. The controller is not turning on. Even when the power is given the light is not coming and also in vesc tool it is showing that controller is not powered. Can anyone suggest the reason and remedy for that?

Plug in the power jumper. It's a 3 pin JST plug with a loop of wire from pin 1 to 3.
