VESC 100/250 IO Ports Protection

Howdy,

Could anyone tell me if  IO ports on the VESC 100/250 are pretty resilient or would i be best to add protection I wouldn't normally with a mass produced controller. For instance I couldn't find a schematic for the 100/250 but the 6.4 doesn't appear to have any discrete components for low pass filtering or static snubbing I would have expected on  AD port/ports, maybe I missed it though. What about other IO. Maybe it's built in these days to micros, my knowledge is a bit dated. Basically just asking if I can avoid any silly mistakes that might wreck the boards IO. I plan to have a 3 meter throttle cable to my POT in the controller for my gizmo. IF needed I can just build an appropriate IO board for conditioning.

Cheers

Luke

Using braided shielding on your 3m cable can help avoiding signal changes especially when your 3m cable is close to your phase wires. No other protection is needed. Regards Oliver
