If one has a controller that does not offer a reverse switch input when the speed input is analog (such as from a twist throttle), could a DPDT switch be installed in two of the motor phase power lines to reverse the motor direction? What I am wondering in particular is if such a scheme would mess up the controller/motor calibration or some-such thing when reverse is selected?
I'm thinking in particular about one of the Flipsky controllers which, as I understand it, only provides motor reverse thru the PPM input (which a twist throttle does not have).

Did you mean that when you setup the motor you do not see reverse option? This option will help you run the motor in opposite direction
