Similar to swapping batteries between cordless drills i want to swap the vesc 6 between some outdoor power tools that i made. Im not sure how the vesc would identify each tool. Heres an example, lawn mower has moter rated for 50amps, being a low kv motor it would have a custom tune. Then when I switch to the brush cutter I need a 200amp limit and tune for high kv motor. Also I would like to have virtual heat sensor algorithms in the vesc for each to prevent overheating.
my questions:
1. Can vesc 6 load different profiles and how many? Is this just the xml? How long to switch between?
2.how can the vesc identify the tool its plugged into? Tesla car charge cable has different plug adapters and use a simple resistor in each adapter to set the current limit. This is ok, I would like to have a unique id for each tool
3. the plug between motor and esc needs to interlock to prevent esc damage. Electric cars use j1772 that uses a shorter pin on the signal wire. Any ideas how important and how to implement?
