I have been working on an electric snowboard project...

Having issues with startup torque, seems the motor is instantly saturating on load.

I was able to get it to work with a config a month ago but have since struggled to tune it.
It uses a large direct-drive hub motor 60v/1600w FOC hall, powered by Flipsky 75/200
If more than 37 amps are applied @ RPM it starts to saturate.
I do have long cables from backpack to hub motor. (8AWG)
Any ideas to tune this saturation out?
Any help to fix this startup the issue will get this thing in the snow!
