Hi All,
Maybe this is a bit off topic,
We are doing some acoustics measures of drone propeller in the anechoic chamber. We are using Sobek motors and ESC, 22.2V and the max current is ~ 35 A.
We are having an AC to DC power supply so we are able to give a constant voltage throughout the test.
But the problem with the current setup is we are not able to maintain a constant motor RPM throughout the test, RPM is always fluctuating and is not constant. It is really important to have a constant RPM for good reliable acoustic measurement.
Is it something that this ESC can help us on ? Can i use the VESC and have some option to spin the motor at constant RPM?
The motor will not be overloaded for the RPM that we require to do the test.
Thanks
Raam
The VESC 6 or VESC 75/300 can drive the motor in various modes, including PID Speed controller mode or dutycycle mode. You would get a pretty constant speed (as good as it gets). The better the ESC and code is made, the more precise it can measure and readjust to the desired speed.
