Brake Switch

Hi,

I'm using the VESC6 in my electric scooter. I have the throttle input going into ADC1. I want to use a push button switch on the handlebars to swap the motor torque direction ie. to activate regen mode. Essentially the throttle will become a variable regen brake whilst the switch is pushed.

My question is, what input do I connect the switch to? Is there a pin with a pull up resistor so the switch can just pull the input to ground? It'd be nice to avoid having to do all that myself.

Thanks in advance,

James

The answer to this question is: RX_SDA_NSS which is pin 5 on the  8-pin COMM connector. At least for "Current No Reverse Brake Button" in ADC app mode. When in this mode, the pin is pulled high by the STM32F4.

If you use RX_SDA_NSS to activate or work as a brake button this meana there is no way to use your Bluetooth for monitoring your speed and other values of your vehicle correct or is there another place or pin that can be connected to for a brake button? I have read something about using the servo pin for this as anyone heard that and if so are you just using the one servo pin or the five volt power ground and circle pin for this regen set up?
