VESC 6 connection issue

Hi everyone,

I recently got 2 beautiful VESCs 6. One of them works properly since I updated the firmware following the recommendations I red in this post  but I can't get the second working properly.

When I power it ON, only the blue led shines steadily, the VESC doesn't appear as a "VESC-COMx" in the connection tab, and the FW update doesn't works.

May anybody give my a push so that I could get it working?

Thx!

Do you have an ST-Link to hand? Frank

Do not connect the 3.3V pin of your ST-Link.

Hi Frank or other experienced VESCer,

I have the same issue with a new VESC 6.4. When I connect power I get a blue LED only and no connection, but I don't have an ST-Link (I have an RPi, though). Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Buy a cheap ST link from aliexpress for 2 dollars.

Or get an ST dev board and use the ST link on that. I have two 144 pin Nucleo boards and a couple others as well. They are the price of an arduino. The price can't be beat for what you get! Maybe it can, but for the price of an arduino you get so much more bang for your buck.
