External MPU not working.

Hello,

I am new to vescs and bought a Maytech MTVESC50A few weeks ago. I've finally gotten the time to watch a few videos and set it up. I've updated the firmware and performed the motor setup wizard within the vesc tool. Im using the the balance app and am trying to get it working. I have am using a MPU 9250 (I also have an extra MPU 6050 that hasn't worked as well). I have the pins correctly set up with the VCC GND SCL SDA. My problem is when I go into the IMU settings within the vesc tool and set the IMU type to IMU_ TYPE_EXTERNAL_MPU9X50, when I push the write app configuration button the vesc freezes. The vesc tool continues to work perfectly fine, without unplugging the power from the vesc if I try and reconnect with the vesc tool I get a notification saying "Can't read the firmware. Make sure the Cable is plugged into the correct port and that the VESC is powered on". I then have to power cycle my vesc and it works again. The IMU settings were saved and its still set to the IMU_ TYPE_EXTERNAL_MPU9X50. but every time I write app configuration it freezes my vesc. I have noticed that only when this setting in particular is set that my vesc freezes. even if I have the MPU unplugged completely it still freezes. I'm not sure why this is happening, I am really new to vescs and I am having a hard time finding anything on the internet about his. I'm not sure if the problem is this cheap maytech vesc or if both my mpu's are faulty, If anyone has had this issue or know a fix that would be awesome!

Thank you.
