What about it? It's a sinusoidal controller with a DC link shunt. Low cost, bulky, heavy.No FOC, no variable regen, nowhere close to functionality that VESC firmware has to offer. It works fine though, just in a class of it's own. It can do way more than 3kw though. Running it up to 20kw on my motorcycle until my 22kw VESC is ready to replace it.
